Role

As part of a young and fast-growing product business, our Customer Experience and Product Development teams have been working to build and execute a comprehensive Go to Market strategy while delivering a quality product to market. The Product Manager is integral to the immediate and future success of the company, making this a brilliant opportunity for a natural product and customer experience person with proven track record.

In this role, you will become the custodian of the Product Roadmap, liaising between Sales, Marketing, Support, Engineering, customers and the market to help drive direction and strategy.

We are looking for someone who is organised, has attention to detail and really cares about the product experience. You will be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Hardware Product Management Experience would be a strong plus.

Responsibilities:

The Product Manager role is responsible for a variety of tasks including:

  1. Gaining a deep understanding of Customer Experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve Customer Experience and drive growth;
  2. Selection of the tools to support Product Management process;
  3. Assessing market competition by comparing our product solution to competitors’ offerings
  4. Assisting in developing our product sales strategies in collaboration with the GM – Customer Experience
  5. Bringing new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development programs;
  6. Introduction of new releases and new products to market, in collaboration with sales, marketing and production;
  7. Determining product pricing with considerations of market research, cost of goods sold and projected sales volumes;
  8. Acting as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding;
  9. Representing the company by visiting Customers to solicit feedback on company products and services; 
  10. Maintaining technical, industry and marketing knowledge and expertise via education workshops, industry and professional publications, and establishing and leveraging existing networks.

Skills:

To be successful in this role you must have:

1.       Experience (5+ years) working in a similar role

2.       Outstanding written and verbal communications skills - you will need to confidently communicate with a range of important stakeholders, both internally and externally

3.       Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle

4.       Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management

5.       Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to roll up the sleeves and get the job done

6.       Effective skills at working with cross functional teams in a matrix organisation

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role you are likely to have a degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
